Beverley is invested in supporting Muslim organisations and especially keen to support the well-being of Muslims. She holds a Masters in therapeutic counselling with almost 20 years of experience in the field, and has a passion for working with children and young people and families and sees adults through her private practice. Bevereley also holds a masters in Education. She is currently a supervisor for a children and young people's charity and a course leader on a Level 4 Diploma course in Counselling.

Talat is a Mathematics and Computer Science graduate from UCL and Imperial College London and currently works as a Developer at a digital healthtech company. He has worked at many charities and non-profit organisations before going on to help start Inspirited Minds. He is fascinated by the mind and psychology and is passionate about supporting and promoting healthy mental wellbeing.

Meanha has studied Islamic Psychology and has 7+ years of experience working in crisis services, suicide prevention and the third sector. She has worked closely with the UK’s leading Muslim mental health professionals, Imam’s and community leaders and has a passion for normalising and creating conversations around mental health in the Muslim community. She oversees community engagement, the creation of workshops, support groups other support and educational resources of Inspirited Minds that rewrites the narrative of Muslim mental health.
Aftharb holds a Masters degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London, complementing the undergraduate degree in International Economics and Finance with First Class Honours at London Metropolitan University. With over 5 years of experience in the finance sector, specializing in Debt Finance and Wealth Management, Aftharb has honed expertise in both asset-based lending and cash flow-based lending. Beyond academic achievements, Aftharb is recognized as a highly entrepreneurial and strategic thinker, having successfully launched two startups within the education and healthcare sectors. Commitment to community service and creating a safe space for others is demonstrated through involvement with Inspirited Minds, where Aftharb seamlessly integrates academic and professional acumen to make a positive impact within society.
Sarah is a practicing psychologist specialising in trauma, with a background in medical biochemistry. Her work involves creating awareness about mental health and she has worked for many charities to achieve this; including Refuge (Domestic Abuse Charity), 1000women and The Wollstonecraft Society. In 2019 she founded a platform, TsaZesh, to meet the human rights and mental health needs of a global community that fears speaking out. Her motivation lies in promoting out-of-the-box thinking, peaceful co-existence and self-acceptance.

Saira is a Business graduate with an interest in mental health awareness. Through her work with Inspirited Minds, Saira aims to contribute to supporting communities in bridging gaps in mental health support and raising awareness.
Sharmina, a BA graduate in Psychology and Criminology, currently serves as a trauma recovery facilitator, administering the Healing Together program. With a background in the Domestic Abuse sector, she has experience as a Programs facilitator, leading initiatives like Own My Life and Freedom. In addition, Sharmina has worked with children in school settings, taking on the role of a mentor and conducting mental health wellness programs along with one-on-one sessions.
Ahnaf graduated with an LLB in Law with Business and then went onto study an LLM in Corporate Governance and Law. He has lived experience of living with a mental health condition. He has experience working as a Mental Health Support Worker and a Health Complaints Advocate. He believes he is in a privileged position to be able to help those in need of mental health services.
Farhana is a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and a Trainee Clinical Psychologist. She has a Masters in Global and Cultural perspectives in mental health care. She has provided psychological support for several years in traditional NHS settings and charities using engagement tools such as boxing, arts, nail painting, hair dressing and vocal expressions. As a workshop trainer, she trains and delivers Islamically tailored mental health workshops to the community.
Hana graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a PGDip in Clnical Mental Health Sciences at UCL. She has a range of experiences in mental health from community service settings to mental health research experience. She is passionate about mental health, in particular within Muslim and BAME communities and is dedicated to reducing stigma of mental health within these communities. She aspires to pursue a career in clinical psychology and to deliver Islamically informed interventions to the community.
Sarah works within the Market Research sector as a Senior Coding Executive, working on government studies related to topics such as mental health, education and current affairs. In addition, she has regularly delivered training workshops to local and international colleagues. She has a keen interest in mental health and runs her own small business selling self-care and wellbeing products and has also completed short courses in counselling and mental health first aid. She is passionate about helping others and the work carried out by Inspirited Minds to tackle the stigma related to mental health, especially within the Muslim community.
Muneeb is a graduate of Politics and Economics at Aston University, and student of Counselling and Islam. In addition to his studies, Muneeb is a Caseworker for FOSIS (Federation of Student Islamic Societies) and aims to educate communities regarding the misconceptions pertaining to Mental Health and the Islamic understanding of it.

He has experience working in public organisations such as the UK health security agency as well as Mind (UK's largest mental health organisation). He is fascinated by the Human mind and passionate about the health of the public and providing a service for them.

Zohrah is a graduate from the University of Birmingham with an interest in helping others, especially within the Muslim mental health space. She volunteers for Inspirited Minds to break the stigma around mental health within Muslim communities and hopes to prioritise accessible services for the Ummah.
Aisha is a graduate in Psychology with Counselling skills and has always been passionate about spreading awareness regarding mental health. Now a therapist, she is keen to support those most vulnerable and found that writing can be a means to amplify key issues and allow others to relate and feel less alone. Aisha hopes to be able to empower others with her words and use writing to shed light on important issues.
Salwa has a degree in Graphic Design and is an aspiring illustrator and concept artist. Salwa has diplomas in Animal Management, Art & Design, and Creative Media Production. A medical background in her family has familiarised her with healthcare since a young age. Salwa is still dealing with her own mental health battles and so she understands the awareness that needs to be brought into both the Muslim and South Asian community.
Abir has graduated in Computer Science and has always been active within the community. He has a passion for Muslim mental health and wants to utilise his studies and serve the ummah in some way.
Madiha has a Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) and currently works as a trainee pharmacist. She feels strongly about mental health, particularly in south asian communities and would like to be part of the change to shift the narrative surrounding mental health and encourage communities for more open-minded thinking, specifically in relation to the Qur’an and prophetic teachings. She appreciates that every contribution amounts to something and hopes to be part of the change to motivate and uplift people that may be struggling.
Nadia is a Language and Linguistics graduate with a particular love for writing, mental health and personal development. She has always been interested in grassroots community work and has been involved in various initiatives. She hopes to contribute to combatting mental health stigmas within the Muslim community. Nadia has a Level 2 certificate in ‘Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace’ and intends to develop her skills further in order to provide more support to others.
Sivan is a Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Neuroscience graduate from Queen Mary, University of London and King’s College London. She hopes to combine her learning from personal experience with mental illness, with the passion to drive positive change, to ultimately empower others to take care of their mental wellbeing. With a background in research, and having worked with a social enterprise, she has joined Inspirited Minds to help shed light on mental health stigma in the Muslim community, in particular, and work towards encouraging dialogue, empathy, and compassion.
After studying Islamic Theology and the Arabic Language for 8 years, Humaira wanted to continue her journey of learning and sharing knowledge. She currently works as a Tech Recruiter, studying coding, teaching Islamic classes, and producing a newsletter to connect Muslim women. She enjoys reading, going to the gym, and socialising. Over the last two years, she has been working on improving her mental, physical, and spiritual health, and hopes to positively contribute towards IM.

Mahnoor is a trainee relational therapist completing a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling. She has had an interest in spiritually and culturally informed mental health work from early in her career, researching the impact of Islamophobic Media on the mental health of Muslims in the UK and USA as part of her Psychology BSc. Having worked both residentially and clinically, Mahnoor has 4+ years of experience working with individuals struggling with their mental health and is currently seeing clients as a trainee therapist. Grace, compassion, and community are the driving forces for her work.
Sarveen completed her B.A (Hons) psychology at University of Glasgow and is currently doing her MSc in Clinical Psychology from University of Strathclyde. She has worked as a healthcare assistant and supported people with various mental and physical disabilities/ conditions to lead independent lives. She has also undertaken various volunteering roles, such as research assistant, befriender and a mentor, which expanded her interests in learning how the Islamic principles and current psychological practices compliment and contrast with each other.
With an MSc in Cultural and Global Perspectives in Mental Healthcare and a BSc in Psychology, Saliha is an experienced Assistant Psychologist working in the NHS. Saliha has worked in diverse clinical settings, working across CAMHS, Adult LD and IAPT services. She specialises in neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders and mental health disparities in ethnic minorities. Saliha is passionate about mental health advocacy, actively contributing to improving accessibility for ethnic and religious minorities. Her long-term goal is to help reshape the narrative of mental health in diverse communities, fostering open conversations and support systems.
Khulood Cassim is a dedicated and driven individual with a strong commitment to increasing mental health awareness within the community. Her academic background includes a BSc in Psychology with management and a Master’s in Clinical Applications of Psychology. Throughout the last two years, she has gained experience as a mental health counselor, and worked towards fostering mental health wellbeing in the community. Khulood possesses a profound interest in understanding mental health through the lens of Islamic principles and is keen to make meaningful contributions to the Muslim community.
