April Reflections

Assalaamu ‘alaikum – peace be with you.

Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate change in attitude and feelings regarding an offense, towards someone who has harmed us or caused us loss, removing negative emotions of vengefulness, bitterness and anger from our hearts. It is not something we do for other people, but is something we do for ourselves and does not erase the past, but looks upon it with compassion. Forgiveness is not always easy and it is not a sign of weakness, but rather it is a sign of our inner strength, and practicing forgiveness empowers us to recognise the pain we have suffered without letting that pain define us; transforming animosity and hurt into peace and freedom. When we forgive, we heal, when we let go, we grow.

At Inspirited Minds we understand the importance of forgiveness in improving our state of mind and bringing us a sense of peace and contentment freeing oneself of negativity and hate. We pray we can be forgiven for our many shortcomings, faults, and mistakes, and pray that we are all given the strength to forgive others for their shortcomings as well as forgive ourselves. And as always, we are open to your comments, ideas, and suggestions, so please do get in touch by replying to this email.

Du’as always,
Talat
