Inspirited Minds works with some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our community and our team of volunteers are our lifeblood and we couldn’t be a lifeline without them. We are truly grateful for the work they do, they persevere, they are passionate and they strive to aid because they genuinely care. Our mission as a charity is to provide advice and support to those affected by mental health problems, raise awareness to reduce the stigma around mental health, especially within the Muslim community and to look at mental health and psychology from an Islamic perspective. Volunteering is an excellent way of taking your valuable lifeskills and experience and using them to benefit others in your local community. Advisory Board Member (Charity Specialist)

Purpose: The Advisory Board member will provide strategic advice, guidance, support and recommendations to the management of Inspirited Minds.

Counsellor

Purpose: The counsellor will provide counselling to clients to help them deal with difficult emotions and mental health issues.
Responsibilities

  • Support clients in developing skills in any aspect (social, personal) via a variety of communication methods.

  • Agreeing a counselling contract to determine what will be covered in sessions.
  • Offer a short-term counselling service.
