Inspirited Minds works with some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our community and our team of volunteers are our lifeblood and we couldn’t be a lifeline without them. We are truly grateful for the work they do, they persevere, they are passionate and they strive to aid because they genuinely care. Our mission as a charity is to provide advice and support to those affected by mental health problems, raise awareness to reduce the stigma around mental health, especially within the Muslim community and to look at mental health and psychology from an Islamic perspective. Volunteering is an excellent way of taking your valuable lifeskills and experience and using them to benefit others in your local community. Campaigns Manager

Job Title: Campaigns Manager
Team: Campaigns
Hours: Five hours p/w
Purpose: The Campaigns Manager will manage the campaigns team and develop projects which will sustain the organisation’s incoming funds. They will plan events, campaigns and other activities to raise charity funds.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the campaigns team and develop and deliver a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategies to push department forward with aims to meet charity goals.
  2. Set and achieve realistic time-limited fundraising targets, agreed in consultation with key staff.
  3. Work efficiently with campaigns team members to raise charity funds.
  4. Communicate with campaigns team members to plan events, campaigns, tube/mosque collections, treks/challenges and other fundraising projects supporting the organisation’s aims.
  5. Support, aid and guide campaigns team members with their designated projects and application forms for grants and sponsorships.
  6. Carry out activities to help foster better relationships with donors and supporters.
  7. Write short reports on the outcomes of each project, highlighting improvements. These are to be discussed with campaigns team members for guidance of future events and campaigns.
  8. Identify areas for professional and service development for each campaigns team member.

Campaigns Officer

Purpose: The Campaigns Officer will develop projects which will sustain the organisation’s incoming funds. They will plan events, campaigns and other activities to raise charity funds.

  1. Work efficiently with the campaigns team to raise charity funds.
  2. Communicate with team members to plan events, campaigns, tube/mosque collections, treks/challenges and other fundraising projects supporting the organisation’s aims.
  3. Complete and submit designated applications on time, updating database each time.
  4. Write summaries on the outcomes of each project, highlighting improvements. These are to be discussed with team members for guidance of future events and campaigns.
  5. Work with the Head of Fundraising to achieve frequent, timely and positive fundraising schemes.
  6. Relay updates as and when required by the Head of Fundraising.

Outreach Worker

Job Title: Outreach Worker
Team: Outreach

Purpose: The Outreach Worker will engage with members of the community to raise awareness about mental health. They will plan events, workshops and other activities with their team members and refer clients to sources of help.

Responsibilities

  1. Offer educational presentations, workshops, programs, support groups and assistance to members of the community.
  2. Act as an advocate where needed and provide information, advice and other support services to individuals and families affected by mental health problems.
  3. Network and build partnerships with local and national organisations.
  4. Communicate with outreach team members to plan events and workshops.
  5. Write summaries on the outcomes of each project, highlighting improvements. These are to be discussed with outreach team members for guidance of future events and workshops.
  6. Work with their line manager to achieve frequent, timely and positive outreach schemes.
  7. Relay updates as and when required by the their line manager.
  8. May be required to travel within the country.

Purpose: The Counselling Manager will work with clients and counsellors to oversee and manage all counselling cases Inspirited Minds receives ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and manage counsellors who provide support to clients.
  2. Support clients in developing skills in any aspect (social, personal) via a variety of communication methods.
  3. Help with the development of a 3 Tier Support Service.
  4. Ensure all due diligence is carried out with regards to services provided to clients.
  5. Conduct all tasks with regards to any and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other staff members to perform assessments or develop treatment plans.
  7. Liaise with counsellors to develop care plans for the clients’ best interest.
  8. Maintain privacy and confidentiality rights of each client.

Required Skills

  1. A British recognised certification in counselling.
  2. Previous experience as a counsellor.
  3. Abiding by the ethical framework for counselling.

Counsellor

Job Title: Counsellor

Hours: 2-3 hours p/w
Purpose: To help people to explore feelings and emotions that are often related to their experiences, allowing their clients to reflect on what is happening to them and consider alternative ways of doing things.

Responsibilities

  1. Support clients in developing skills in any aspect (social, personal) via a variety of communication methods.
  2. Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients.
  3. Agreeing a counselling contract to determine what will be covered in sessions (including confidentiality issues).
  4. Offer a short-term counselling service.
  5. Actively listening to client concerns and empathising with their position, without bias.
  6. Helping clients to make decisions and choices regarding possible ways forward.
  7. Referring clients to other sources of help, as appropriate.
  8. Attending supervision and training courses.
  9. Working to agreed targets in relation to client contact, responding to clients with seven working days.
  10. Maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
  11. Keeping records and using reporting tools as sought by the organisation.

Required Skills

Purpose: The Lead Marketing Officer will work closely with the Marketing Manager to plan, develop and implement the organisation's marketing strategies. They will also create online and print marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  1. Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for services on a variety of media – social, print etc.
  2. Write, edit and proofread marketing material for use in different channels.
  3. Oversee and update the Inspirited Minds website.
  4. Researching and analysing market trends.
  5. Communicate with team members to plan and implement marketing campaigns for events and workshops and other activities.
  6. Support, aid and guide marketing team members with their designated projects.
  7. Undertake market research and establish the best way to reach target groups.

Purpose: The Social Media Specialist will develop and implement the organisation’s social media strategies. They will also manage various social media platforms and implement online marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  1. Design a social media strategy that’s in line with the brand identity, the organisation’s audience, and goals.
  2. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  3. Manage and optimise organisation pages within each platform to increase the visibility of organisation’s social content.
  4. Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  5. Managing and implementing online marketing campaigns on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Medium, Instagram and Google AdWords.
  6. Analyse and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
  7. Continue to refine and define our social marketing process.
  8. In coordination with the marketing team, define campaigns, events and paid-advertising in order to implement them on various platforms that have been decided to be used.

  2. Liaising with 3rd parties regarding production of materials ensuring these are taking into consideration with internal deadlines.
  3. Managing artwork to ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to throughout the organisation’s materials.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency of brand identity.
  5. Provide user-centered design expertise from concept to delivery.

  1. Assisting at shoots for video productions, including event recordings, client testimonies and training material, to serve and promote Inspirited Minds.
  2. Ensure successful project completions as well as managing own portfolio of video projects.
  3. Working alongside team in the concept development of new promotional material, and scripting and storyboarding where necessary.

Purpose: The HR and Wellbeing Officer will support delivery of the HR and related strategies including: recruitment, retention and reward; learning and development; health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  1. Operational lead on recruitment and selection of staff.
  2. Operational lead on learning and development programmes for staff across the organisation.
  3. Coordinate and drive health and wellbeing initiatives.
  4. Engage with staff across the organisation providing HR advice to staff and line managers on policy implementation.
  5. Maintain accurate and comprehensive employee records.
  6. Provide quarterly data reports and information on areas such as recruitment, learning and development
  7. Monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
