Our Impact

Helping and supporting those in need

We were created to provide a faith and culturally sensitive safe space for those struggling with their mental health. From inception to date, we have helped over (number) individuals, Muslim and non-Muslim, through our counselling and support services.

This has been possible due to our growing team of over 20 counsellors and CBT therapists, which places us as one of the largest Muslim mental health service providing charity within the UK.

Dispelling misconceptions and educating communities

It is no secret that mental health is a huge taboo across Muslim communities even today. We are continuously working to stamp out this taboo and de-stigmatise mental health, because we believe that you can heal by coming together, talking about it and engaging in empathy and compassion.

To do this, we have conducted a number of workshops and trainings, which have been developed by highly qualified and well-experienced academics and professionals, across a range of topics.

The morning was nourishing, enlightening and encouraged bravery and compassion. The attendees were keen to find out more and we wished we had more time to share more information about mental health from an Islamic perspective.

Thank you very much on behalf of the Sunnah Trust team for leading today’s session. The students really enjoyed the session and found it very engaging and learnt new ways on how to deal with mental health.

As a children’s palliative care charity we have numerous parents and carers calling our Helpline of Muslim faith. The resource has therefore been shared by our Helpline advisors to ensure they are sensitive to the specific faith needs of callers and have information to draw upon as necessary.

This is by far my favourite journal. I’ve never thought of my relationship with Allah and Quran in the way this booklet has made me think and feel. I’m so grateful. May Allah reward you for putting such an epic resource out into the community.
