Happy In Aloneness

Sunset the day
Falls to sleep
The darkening clouds tumble
Awoken stars
Breathe a sigh of relief
I raise my eyes
Tired, to the skies
Breathe in the cold night’s air

Alone

I can speak to anyone
Who isn’t there
Solitude is really, just fine
It isn’t yours to share
It’s mine
When tomorrow
Never comes for me
I shall at last
Be asleep
And if I cannot wake
From my endless dream
Will I see you?
When I rest
Will my entire confusion end
And will death begin
A new life
So no more pain
Until I am reborn
Into life
Once more
